So I've heard from a few people that Newgrounds is worth checking out, especially for animators. I have been on YouTube for 7 years now (between 2 different channels) and I'm pretty sick of it tbh. My original channel had over 1k subs but I ended up taking a break and by the time I came back it was absolutely swarming with copyright claims and had become completely inactive. My new channel is slow taking off but I'm making progress. The thing is, I've always made gaming videos but for the last while I've been trying out animation (since its a career I want to pursue) and posted my first animation (as crap as it is) about 3 weeks ago and I managed to rack up a whole 40 views (better than nothing at least). But I'm aware of how animation is treated on YouTube so I've decided to try out Newgrounds and see how that goes, especially since I'm a rookie. I'm gonna post the short I made shortly (It's an Avengers Endgame parody btw) and see how that goes but I plan on making more badly animated shorts as I practise and learn more and hopefully be able to produce something of half decent quality at some point. So enough ranting, I'm excited to see how my Newgrounds "career" turns out, hopefully it goes slightly better than YouTube, or could be a complete dead end (hopefully not). I'll talk to you soon 👍
